We are celebrating that Not Normal's Norwegian Grammy nominated album Modærn Qualitet came out one year ago on the Oct 17 with an amazing live version of "Trio." from the album. As the title states, this is a trio track from the septet - and on this particular track you'll hear the sounds of Eirik Hegdal, Anna Ueland and Veslemøy Narvesen.

Jazz Out of Norway 12th Set is a continuation of jazzCD.no, a compilation that introduces Norwegian jazz to the world. After ten CD releases the 11th and 12th editions are distributed digitally only and available in various streaming platforms. The compilation is produced by Norsk jazzforum and supported by The Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Acrobats - Sondre Lerche
Acrobats is a eight-song suite that pingpongs between joy and introspection, loss and love. Recorded across nine studios with a gaggle of creatives, it’s a perhaps more sobering followup up 2022’s Avatars of Love — although no less brimming with passion.
“If there’s one theme to this album, I suppose it is finding love in times of great unrest and hopelessness," Lerche says. And that’s precious.

LEAHs second album OK was released this may with a connection tour in Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and the UK, they present a bold record and is a nice step from the previous record.. The long songs takes you on a trip thru love, tragedies, rises and falls, a lot of what life it selves serves.

Soon Means Now!
The trio, who always spell their name with a lowercase “ü”, consists of three young Norwegian musicians investigating the connections between just intonation, European art music, minimalism, and improvisational music. Through open forms, they create an expression that combines freedom and structure in an energetic and attentive interplay. Soon Means Now represents a natural development of ükya’s musical language. The album reflects the trio’s ongoing work to unite organized sound and spontaneity, a meeting between the conceptual and the immediate.

This is Wuppertal!
After 11 years of concerts all over Europe, TJO & OMV are releasing the live album “THIS IS WUPPERTAL!” on Jazzland Records! (I do only play on track six on this record)
This is the band’s third release so far, and it shows an ensemble armed to the teeth with a deep understanding of Vågan’s music and an interplay developed over a decade. The line-up reads like a who’s who of European jazz in 2025, and where the two previous albums “Happy Endlings” and “Plastic Wave” established their own musical world around themes such as the end times and climate change, TJO on “THIS IS WUPPERTAL!” are more interested in tearing down what exists, sinking their teeth firmly into the wallpaper, and breaking apart whatever lies in front of them.

Apt Opt Kroma, like the debut album Svartsymra, is an avant-garde exploration of sound and musical boundaries by the experimental contemporary ensemble KRISE, led by Kristian Enkerud Lien. The ensemble ventures into new territories by blending just intonation, microtonality, indie rock, and folk music in an innovative way. Through experimentation with ideas from Ben Johnston, Harry Partch, and Eivind Groven, they aim to create a more complex yet captivating musical journey.
